As Armenia is a land of stones and rocks, stone is one of the beloved materials of Armenian craftsmen. Vases, decorative plates, cross-stones (souvenirs) are made of tuff, basalt, granite, marble, obsidian.
Artashes Petrosyan’s works (both miniature and monumental compositions of historical themes) are noticeable among other exhibits of H. Sharambeyan Museum of Folk Arts. Davit Jrbashyan’s, Harutyun Poghosyan’s and Poghos Alajyan’s works are distinguished by their compositional and technical perfection.
